Birth place

Lang Lang was born in Shenyang, the capital city of the Province of Liaoning. In the 17^th Century, Shenyang, under the name of Mukden, was the capital city of the Manchurian state and remains the cultural and financial center of central northeastern China today. The well-preserved Emperor’s Palace and the Imperial Cemetery from the Qing Dynasty bear witness to the important role of the city.
